eVestment Closes 2014 With Three Top Investment Industry Data Rankings

January 12, 2015, Atlanta – eVestment ended 2014 with three top investment industry database rankings, taking the top spots in two iiSearches surveys and one Cerulli report.

eVestment was ranked as the No. 1 “Must Be In” consultant/third party database in the iiSearches 2014 Consultant Relations Survey and was ranked No. 1 in iiSearches RFP Process Survey of the data capture abilities of consultant/third party databases.

eVestment was also ranked as the #1 most important investment consultant or third-party database by 89.5% of asset managers as featured in an exhibit in the Cerulli Report – Institutional Markets 2014: Opportunities in a Crowded Market.

The iiSearches surveys were published in late 2014. Both iiSeaches surveys have been conducted every two years since 2010 and eVestment appeared in the No. 1 spots all three years on both.

Participants in the iiSearches consultant relations survey represented primarily multi-strategy and equities-only firms, but also fixed-income managers, hedge funds, real estate and private equities firms. Assets under management of responding firms ranged from less than $250 million to more than $1 trillion.

Participants in the iiSearches RFP process survey were sales, marketing, consultant relations, RFP writers and managers and similar professionals at investment asset management firms. The majority of respondents represented multi-strategy, equities, fixed-income, real estate and alternatives managers with global assets under management of less than $250 million to more than $1 trillion.

The Cerulli Institutional Markets 2014: Opportunities in a Crowded Market is the latest publication in The Cerulli Report series, which provides insight about U.S. institutional markets, including public and private pensions, defined contribution, endowments and foundations, and insurance companies. The report is created from a combination of online surveys of institutional investment industry professionals and research by Cerulli staff.

“From the beginning, we intended to build a database that would become the de facto standard for the entire industry, offering unparalleled depth, functionality and ease of use,” said eVestment co-founder and CEO Jim Minnick. “Garnering these rankings from our users and clients is a testament to how we’ve fulfilled that mission. We continue to work every day to anticipate and exceed our clients’ needs and expectations.”
