Following May, when all 20 of the most popular investment products viewed by institutional investment professionals using eVestment were equity focused, fixed-income and multi-asset strategies crept onto the overall top 20 list in June. Joining still a majority of equity strategies on the top 20 list for June were the Standard Life Investments Limited: Global Absolute Return Strategy multi-asset product at No. 7, PIMCO Income Strategy fixed-income product at No. 17 and, at No. 20, the Dodge & Cox Core Fixed Income product.
The Advantage Investment Viewership Report, generated through the eVestment Advantage solution, is based on tracking daily eVestment user reviews of investment universes and products on eVestment. The report looks at Global, United States, United Kingdom, Europe ex-UK, Asia-Pacific and Canada profile viewership activity among the investors, consultants and other investment professionals who use eVestment. The report looks at the most popular products and universes overall for the past month and the universes and products that saw the most month-over-month growth in views on the site.
A few other interesting points from the report include:
- Asia-Pacific eVestment users had strong interest in global strategies in June, with the majority of the products viewed by users in that region having a global focus. In terms of strategy type, among the top strategies viewed by Asia-Pacific users was a healthy mix of equity, fixed-income and balanced/multi-asset strategies.
- Europe ex-UK users reverted back to equity products in June. After May, in which nearly half of the top viewed strategies were fixed-income strategies, only two of the top viewed strategies in June were fixed income, and only one was a new entrant: the Guggenheim Investments: US Bank Loans strategy.
- Canadian eVestment users had a strong interest in their own country in June, with the majority of the top 20 strategies viewed by Canadian users being focused on Canada during the month. Almost all the rest of top the 20 strategies reviewed by Canadian users had a global focus.
