Asset management firm OppenheimerFunds announced Monday that it has made two additions to its Board of Directors.
New York-based OppenheimerFunds said in a statement that Joanne Pace and Edmund Giambastiani, Jr.’s appointments were made in anticipation of the retirements of current board members in the next few years. Both appointments will be effective February 2013.
Pace currently serves as a strategic advisor to financial services firms, including hedge funds and capital markets businesses. Previously, Pace was the chief operating officer and managing director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
A retired U.S. Navy veteran, Giambastiani is the president of Maryland-based consulting firm Giambastiani Group which specializes in national security, energy and technology.
One of the largest investment management firms in the U.S., OppenheimerFunds managed about $186.4 billion in assets as of September 30.
