Investment firm AMP Capital is expanding its alternatives team through two new hires.
Australia-based AMP announced last week that Dr. Alistair Rew and Celine Nguyen have joined the firm as a senior portfolio manager and a portfolio manager, respectively.
Prior to AMP, Rew spent eight years at risk management firm XL Group where he developed and managed their internal hedge fund program, while Nguyen was a research analyst at EIM Management where she conducted due diligence on a variety of hedge fund strategies.
Suzanne Tavill, the head of alternatives at AMP, said that the new hires bring “extensive international knowledge and experience that will enhance the team’s capability.”
With operations around the world including China, Japan and New Zealand, AMP has about $124 billion in assets under management.
