A former stock picker at mutual fund T. Rowe Price Group has raised more than $100 million for a a new hedge fund firm.
Bloomberg reported that Kris Jenner, who was the manager of the health sciences fund at T.Rowe, will launch Baltimore-based Rock Springs Capital later this year. The fund, which is currently still seeking capital from investors, will invest in healthcare and biotechnology stocks.
Jenner will run the new firm alongside former T.Rowe analysts Mark Bussard and Graham McPhail.
Rock Springs will utilize a similar strategy as Jenner’s former fund at T. Rowe.
