A former portfolio manager at London-based GLG Partners has set up a new hedge fund.
Financial News reported that James Berger’s Switzerland-based B1 Capital will launch a European fundamental long/short equity fund this summer.
The article said that Berger has also hired Megan Kenney, a former managing director and European head of capital services at Credit Suisse, to be the CEO of the new firm. With a total of four employees on the team, the fund launch has secured an undisclosed seed capital from “a small number of anchor investors.”
Berger, who left GLG in June, co-managed GLG’s European opportunity fund.
