London-based hedge fund firm Arcus Investment announced that it has launched a new fund for the first time in eight years.
Arcus said in a statement released Monday that the new fund, which has raised over $50 million in its first two months of trading, will focus on Japanese small and mid-cap stocks. The fund will close to new investors once it reaches $200 million in assets.
Specializing in Japanese equity long and long/short funds, Arcus manages about $450 million in assets. Besides its London headquarters, Arcus also has an additional research subsidiary in Japan.
