Hedge fund firm and asset manager PineBridge Investments announced the strengthening of its Middle East, North Africa and Turkey team with an executive hire.
PineBridge said in a statement released Wednesday that it has hired Wael Aburida as chief investment officer, where he will be responsible for lead the firm’s MENA private equity and real estate team toward deal origination, negotiations, execution, portfolio management, and exits. Aburida will be based in PineBridge’s Bahrain office.
With 20 years of private equity and investment banking experience, Aburida was the director of mergers & acquisitions at United Arab Emirates-based investment firm Waha Capital.
PineBridge has over $71.5 billion in assets under management and primarily focuses on developed and emerging markets.
