A trial date has been set up for former SAC Capital Advisors portfolio manager Mathew Martoma regarding insider trading charges.
Bloomberg reported that U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe set Martoma’s jury trial date for November 4 on Wednesday.
Martoma was charged by federal authorities in November for allegedly making over $250 million for Steve Cohen’s SAC Capital using insider information he received regarding an Alzheimer disease drug trial.
The article also said that the government is planning to file a superseding indictment, which could mean adding charges or defendants to the case.
SAC manages about $15 billion in assets.
