Six hedge fund managers reportedly gathered in Atlantic City Monday night for a secret poker tournament that raised over $300,000 for charity.
Greenlight Capital’s David Einhorn, Pine River Investments’ Steve Kuhns, Ariel Investments’ John Rogers, Kynikos Associates’ Jim Chanos, Gabelli Asset Management’s Mario Gabelli and Bill Perkins of Skylar Capital all participated in the “Poker Night On Wall Street” event sponsored by Bloomberg.
The tournament will air on television in August.
An avid poker player, Einhorn also participated in last month’s World Series of Poker’s charity tournament, which will benefit Boston-based organization City Year. Einhorn was ousted by Perkins during the second day of the $111,111 buy-in tournament.
