Israel Englander's Millennium Management has reportedly hired a Lehman Brothers veteran as chief executive officer.
Asian Investor reported that in the CEO role, Kirk Sweeney will be responsible for overseeing Millennium’s business in the Asia region, including building and maintaining relationships with government officials, regulators and investors.
The article also said that Sweeney will replace Kunho Cho, who left New York-based Millennium in March after serving in the role for three years.
A 16-year Lehman veteran where he served as its Hong Kong head, Sweeney was most recently the head of senior relationship management for Barclays’ Asia-Pacific region.
With additional offices around the world, including London, Hong Kong and Singapore, Millennium has approximately $18.11 billion in assets under management.
