A pair of former Goldman Sachs managing directors is planning to launch an Asia-focused multi-strategy hedge fund early next year.
Bloomberg reported that Koji Gotoda and Takayuki Kasama have incorporated Singapore-based Golvis Investment, which will invest in all asset classes with an initial focus on Japan.
Prior to leaving Goldman Sachs last month, Gotoda led the Asia convertible bond trading at the New York-based firm. Kasama, who left in June, was most recently the co-head of Japan credit trading at the bank.
The article said that the Gotoda and Kasama will present the new fund to investors at Goldman Sachs annual hedge fund symposium in October.
