Hedge fund manager Alphonse "Buddy" Fletcher, Jr. has listed his Connecticut mansion for sale following legal issues surrounding his firm.
Curbed reported that Fletcher, the founder of Fletcher Asset Management, is looking to sell his 8.400 square foot home for $8.85 million. According to a separate report, Fletcher purchased the 17-room Cornwall estate for $5.9 million.
Last year, a judge ordered Fletcher Asset to liquidate after failing to pay back three Louisiana public pension funds. The firm filed for bankruptcy a few months later.
Fletcher Asset reportedly had annual returns of 300% in the early 1990’s.
