The Hedge Fund Association has formed a new academic advisory board that aims to educate students on the notoriously secretive industry.
According to a statement from the association on Wednesday, the new board will hold symposiums on college campuses across the nation that will feature hedge fund managers and investors as guest speakers. It will also host online webinars that will inform young adults not only on hedge funds, but on the broader finance industry and its ethics.
Board members include SFC Associates president Ezra Zask and Scott Fullman, the executive director of derivatives strategy at Oppenheimer & Co.
The Hedge Fund Association is an international not-for-profit organization that represents the hedge fund industry including more than 10,000 hedge funds in the U.S. and abroad.
