Investment management firm Spartan Fund Management announced Monday that it has launched a high-net version of its long/short global equity fund.
The Toronto-based firm said that investors’ demand for a fund with a higher targeted return prompted the new offering. Spartan Fund said that the new fund has delivered an estimated return of 4.66% in comparison to MSCI’s 3.11% since its April 15 inception date through the end of July.
Both funds emphasize on “capital preservation, through hedged equity exposure to a concentrated group of mid- and large-capitalization global developed-market companies” to generate returns.
Launched in 2006, Spartan Fund specializes in emerging Canadian alternative investment managers.
