Metal commodities specialist investment manager Red Kite Group is spinning out one of its private equity funds.
Pensions & Investments reported that the said private equity fund, managed by founding partner Oskar Lewnowski will be transfer to his own firm, Orion Mine Finance. Other members who work on the private equity fund have moved to Orion with Lewnowski but will remain in their respective offices in New York, Denver and Sydney.
The spin-out will not affect any of Red Kite’s other funds.
With a combination of both private equity and hedge fund offerings, Red Kite manages approximately $2.3 billion in assets.
