The global head of Citigroup’s prime brokerage business has left the company.
Bloomberg reported that Chris Greer, who reported to Citi’s global head of prime brokerage and client experience Scott Helfman, will be joining a family office in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The article also said that Citi CEO Michael Corbat is looking to expand the lender’s prime brokerage unit as it pulls back from its other businesses. Citi has already hired two senior executives for the unit as part of the expansion.
The prime brokerage business provides financing to hedge funds. while also helping firms process trades and attract investors.
