Investment manager GLG Partners veteran John White has left the firm to take on a more senior role at parent company Man Group.
Investment Week reported that John White, who joined GLG in 2004 from Morgan Stanley, will work alongside Man CEO Manny Roman on strategic initiatives in his new role.
The funds that White managed at GLG has been handed over to Charlie Long and Nick Judge, who have worked at the firm since 2005 and 2009, respectively.
Separately, GLG strengthened the UK equity team this week with the hire of Matterley founder Henry Dixon.
London-based Man currently manages about $52 billion in assets after investors redeemed $11.5 billion in the first half of the year.
