Third-party hedge fund marketing firm Agecroft Partners is in a philanthropic mood.
Virginia-based Agecroft announced Tuesday that it will donate all of its proceeds from Hedgeopolis New York this year to a charitable trust that will make contributions to various nonprofit organizations that either benefit children or the homeless.
Hedgeopolis, which will hold its inaugural event in New York City on November 4, will consist of hedge fund investors presenting strategies to industry professionals.
Over 100 institutional hedge fund investors have already confirmed attendance, including pension funds, endowments, family offices and funds of hedge funds.
Hedgeopolis , organized by Agecroft and Hedge Fund Association, also includes investment database and technology solutions firm eVestment as one of its sponsors.
Agecroft was founded in 2007 by Donald Steinbrugge, a former Andor Capital Management and Merrill Lynch salesman.
