Alternative asset management firm Tradex Global Advisors announced Tuesday that Jeffrey Trongone has joined the firm as president.
In his new role at the Connecticut-based firm, Trongone will work closely with founders Michael Beattie and Richard Travia to help transition Tradex from a fund of hedge funds firm to a single strategy hedge fund business.
Trongone was most recently the CEO and founder of Malbec Partners, a hedge fund multi-manager platform sponsored by BNP Paribas. Earlier in his career, Trongone was the chief operating officer at Dan Loeb’s New York-based hedge fund firm Third Point.
Founded in 2004, Tradex manages over $3 billion at its peak.
