Alternative investment firm Altegris Advisors has launched a fixed-income long/short fund.
The California-based firm announced in a statement Thursday that the new alternative strategy mutual fund, which was incepted in February, currently manages approximately $55.56 million in assets.
The fund invests in long and short positions in a variety of fixed income opportunities, including high yield corporate bonds, convertibles, mortgage-backed securities as well as sovereign debt positions.
Connecticut-based hedge fund firm RockView Management and New York-based institutional asset manager Premium Point Investments serve as the fund’s sub-advisors.
Altegris had about $2.68 billion in client assets as of September 30.
