Kimberly Mounts of MAP Alternative Asset Management has passed away.
According to the New York Times’ Obituary section, Mounts died on October 25 in Newport Beach, CA. Her cause of death was not disclosed.
The founder, president and CEO of California-based investment advisor MAP, Mounts was named one of Institutional Investor Magazine's 2012 Hedge Fund Rising Stars.
Mounts is survived by her sisters Mary Williams, Katherine Mounts, Susan Simmons, and Linda Rasic, as well as brother Scott Mounts.
With over $25 billion in assets under advisory, MAP focuses on fixed-income hedge funds and risk management.
