A former Goldman Sachs managing director has been hired as head of business development at the credit division of Jersey-based Brevan Howard.
Financial News reported that Jennifer Drake will sit on New York-based DW Investment Management’s executive and risk committees. DWIM founder David Warren explained that the greater need for regular and high-level communication between managers and investors is at an all-time high and Drake’s experience in the credit markets could be useful in communicating the firm’s strategies to investors.
Prior to joining DWIM, Drake primarily focused on event-driven, relative value and credit investments at Goldman Sachs and was also a member of the liquid markets investment committee for the Alternative Investments and Manager Selection group.
DWIM was founded in 2009 as a spin-out from Brevan Howard, which has surpassed Man Group as Europe’s largest hedge fund firm with approximately $40 billion in assets.
