Nov 20, 2013

Two partners at Eton Park Capital Management are leaving the firm.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Isaac Corre, an original partner who has been with the firm since its launch in 2004, and Josh Astrof who joined in 2005 are leaving the New York-based hedge fund early next year. The reasons for their departures, as well as their plans after leaving were not disclosed.

Corre, who is responsible for event-driven investing at Eton Park, was previously a partner at New York-based multistrategy hedge fund Scoggin Capital Management while Astrof was a principal at Blackstone Group before joining Eton Park.

Several partners have left Eton Park in the last several years, including Anand Desai and Edward Misrahi.

Former Goldman Sachs star trader Eric Mindich launched Eton Park with $3 billion in assets – one of the largest in hedge fund history. It currently manages approximately $10 billion in assets.
