The Hedge Fund Association announced Monday the appointment of two new U.S. regional chapter leaders.
The organization said that Thalius Hecksher is now the regional director for its Southeast Chapter, while Robert Sawyer is the first-ever regional director for HFA's Boston Chapter. Both parties will be responsible for directing the organization’s local events in their respective regions, and contribute to HFA’s “mission of advancing transparency, development and trust in alternative investments.”
Hecksher was most recently the global managing director of business development for hedge fund administrator Apex Fund Services, while Sawyer was previously worked at law firm Foley Hoag LLP where he focused on investment advisers and private investment funds, including hedge funds and private equity.
HFA is an international not-for-profit organization that represents the hedge fund industry including more than 10,000 hedge funds in the U.S. and abroad.
