eVestment announced Tuesday that it will offer clients Hedge Fund Research’s data and indices through its suite of Analytics solutions.
Atlanta-based eVestment, which provides investment data and technology to institutional investors, said in a statement that its Analytics users will have access to internal data and data from HFR to compare and analyze strategies for investment potential, monitoring or competitive research.
eVestment co-founder and CEO Jim Minnick explained that the agreement “makes it easier for clients to move from one solution to another without worrying about data consistency.” The partnership will also continue eVestment’s relationship with HFR; hedge fund analysis provider Pertrac and cloud-based hedge fund technology provider Fundspire—which were acquired last year by eVestment—both had data relationships with HFR previously.
Founded in 2000, eVestment now offers one of the world’s largest traditional and alternative investment databases. Chicago-based HFR specializes in the indexation and analysis of hedge funds.
