The Alternative Investment Management Association has appointed a new chair and deputy chair to its investor steering committee.
The London-based organization announced through a statement Friday that the new chair is British Airways Pension Investment Management CEO Michelle McGregor-Smith and the deputy chair is Ascent Private Capital Management's managing director of alternative investments Kurt Silberstein.
The AIMA Investor Steering Committee (ISC) features leading institutional investors in hedge funds from around the world and undertakes educational initiatives
McGregor-Smith is also an adviser to U.K-based charity Investment Committee of the Health Foundation. Silberstein, who has been a contributor to several of ISC’s publications over the years, worked at CAlPERS for 12 years before joining Ascent in 2011.
A global representative of the hedge fund industry, AIMA has more than 1,300 corporate members and over 7,000 individual contacts worldwide.
