The hedge fund industry meets reality television in a new online series launched Monday that will examine the trials and tribulations of emerging managers.
The Hedge Fund Lions’ Den, a six-part web series, will give three new funds exclusive access to three of the most prominent names—Man Group president Luke Ellis, ISAM CEO Lord Fink and Aberdeen Asset Management’s Andrew McCaffery--in the hedge fund industry.
Each veteran manager (lion) will offer their advice and ultimately make a decision whether to invest in the emerging manager after the latter is given two minutes to pitch their fund. In the final episode, each lion decides how to allocate up to $25 million to one or more of the funds.
