Investment firm Franklin Templeton Investments announced that it has appointed Scott Collison to head of alternative sales in its Asia division.
Franklin Templeton said in the statement that Collison will be responsible for new business development of the group’s alternative products in Asia in his new role. Based in Singapore, Collison will work closely with existing regional and country institutional and retail distribution teams, to develop and implement country level strategies to support the growth of Franklin Templeton’s alternative products in Asia.
With over two decades of financial markets experience under his belt, Collison was most recently the CEO of traditional and alternatives investment advisory firm Talos Strategies. Earlier in his career, Collison founded and managed the Orvent fund, one of the largest Asian hedge fund start-ups in 2011, and was a Singapore-based portfolio manager at Millennium Partners.
Based in California, Franklin Templeton manages approximately $879 billion in assets.
