Steve Kessler, the chief compliance officer at SAC Capital Advisors, is departing the firm after nearly a decade.
Bloomberg Businessweek reported that John Casey will be heading Connecticut-based SAC Capital’s compliance department. Additional information regarding the new hire was not disclosed.
SAC Capital is currently transitioning into a family office after it pleaded guilty to securities fraud charges in November and agreed to pay a $1.2 billion penalty. It managed about $14 billion in total assets under management as of last July.
