The London-based asset management division of The Bank of New York Mellon has hired an industry veteran to head its North American business.
As the head of North America for Newton Capital Management, Jim Wylie is responsible for leading and developing the firm’s distribution and client servicing business in the continent. He will be based in New York. Wylie will also be appointed as a member of Newton’s Board of Directors, subject to regulatory approval.
Wylie was most recently the chief marketing officer and executive managing director at Turner Investment Partners. Prior to that, he was the global head of sales at Acadian Asset Management.
Newton had more than $85.6 billion in assets under management as of December 31.
