Hedge fund advocacy group Managed Funds Association announced the launch of an online industry glossary Wednesday.
The 900-word glossary, which contains a complete set of key terms, phrases and definitions related to the hedge fund industry, is available on MFA’s website at www.managedfunds.org.
The new offering is launched in collaboration with law firm Latham & Watkins through its Book of Jargon—Hedge Funds, which is available as a free app on Apple products. MFA president and CEO Richard Baker explained that the organization believes the glossary “allows those who are curious and interested in hedge funds to gain clarity on the basic elements, strategies, and terms that govern the day-to-day operations of the industry,”
Washington D.C.-based MFA is responsible for advocating sound industry practices on behalf of the hedge fund industry and its investors. Latham & Watkins has locations around the world, including New York, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo and Mosow.
