East Lodge Capital Partners has hired a 10-year Citigroup veteran to the London-based hedge fund start-up.
Bloomberg reported that Richard Skeet, who traded asset-backed securities at Citigroup in London, has joined East Lodge as a money manager. The fund will focus on direct lending, structured finance and corporate credit markets and is seeking to hire as many as 14 employees.
U.S. funds such as Ellington Management Group, New York-based MKP Capital Management and GoldenTree Asset Management are expanding their London operations with staff transfers and new hires for asset-backed securities roles.
East Lodge was founded by former CQS chief investment officer Alistair Lumsden earlier this year.
