Investment management firm Advent Capital Management announced its new chief operating office in a statement Wednesday.
In Kris Haber’s new role at New York-based Advent Capital, he will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s business development, investor relations and risk management departments, as well as firm strategy and execution.
With over 20 years of investment business experience under his belt, Haber was most recently the CEO of financial services firm Presidio Capital Group. Earlier in his career, Haber spent 14 years at financial advisory and asset management firm Lazard Asset Management where he eventually became its managing director and head of alternative investments.
Founded in 1995, Advent Capital currently manages about $8.3 million in assets. It specializes in convertible, high yield and equity strategies offered through long only, hedge-fund and NYSE closed-end mutual fund products.
