With most in-person meetings and events on hold, effective sales, client and digital communications have never been more important. eVestment, a global leader in institutional investment data and analytics, and Assette, a leading unified sales and client communication software provider, have teamed up to help asset managers integrate peer performance, key professional, fees and other data seamlessly into client and sales communications.
In this episode of The Source podcast (14 mins), we are joined by Brian Duddy, Head of Business Development at Assette, as well as Lisa Terwilliger, Head of Strategic Partnerships at eVestment. Our conversation centered around the recent partnership announced between eVestment and Assette, which gives clients access to eVestment’s data directly within the Assette platform. We also talk to Lisa more broadly about eVestment strategic partnerships and how professionals across the industry can access eVestment data – not only in the eVestment platform, but also in the other platforms that they use every day.

“As we all know, eVestment is the gold standard when it comes to data. Assette is leading the way in unified communications platforms. There are other providers that do sales and client communications, but we’re trying to look at more of a unified data approach here.”

Highlights from the episode:
Lisa: Like other companies in the financial services realm, eVestment will leverage and seek out companies to partner with to help continue to provide our institutional investment data in the marketplace. When we evaluate different partners to work with, we look for firms that complement our capabilities or enhance what we currently have in order to create more value for our clients. We’ll also occasionally look for partners that might help us break into new markets. It’s really about where are clients are working, where do they want to interact with our data, and how can we partner with companies to satisfy our clients’ needs.
Brian: At Assette, our focus is on the institutional asset management community. Our software solution can create, review, approve trusted sales, client and digital communications. All your marketing needs can be set up through our system and sent out through the system and can all then be approved through compliance. We take a data-first approach to the way that we look at the asset management world. We have created pre-built data connectors to different leading providers like (now) eVestment. We take data from the internal systems that the asset managers have, create pre-built connectors, pull it into a set and then use a set to power or to create all the output – whether it’s sales-related, client-related or digital-related.
As we all know, eVestment is the gold standard when it comes to data. And Assette is leading the way in unified communications platforms. There are other providers that do sales and client communications, but we’re trying to look at more of a unified data approach here.
As an eVestment alum myself, I understand the power of eVestment’s data. When I’m out there talking to potential clients and clients, the conversation goes towards other areas of focus – eVestment being one of them. Pulling eVestment data into a set is a no-brainer. It’s something that, if you’re creating presentations and you’re manually doing it, now we have the pre-built connector that can pull that data directly from eVestment right into Assette so they can build quartile rankings and other types of charts and graphs based on the quantitative and the qualitative data that’s supplied through that pre-built connector.
