Institutional Outflows Continue in Q2

The report looks at trends in asset flows around the globe based on data reported to eVestment by asset managers working on behalf of institutional investors like pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and foundations.

Key findings from the report include:

  • The institutional asset management industry reported net outflows of $120.0 billion in Q2 2016 after outflows of $75.1 billion in the first quarter.
  • Second quarter inflows into fixed income markets were driven by US bonds, which reported net inflows of $38.8 billion. US short duration bonds reported inflows of $16.6 billion.
