For Asia ex-Japan eVestment users, every strategy on the list of most viewed strategies was new in August compared to July. All but one strategy on the most-viewed list by Europe ex-UK eVestment users was new in August compared to July’s most-viewed list. A few other interesting points from the new report include:
- All products in August’s top viewed list by Canada-based institutional investors and consultants were equity-focused. - US Passive Core Fixed Income was the top universe by month over month change in average reviews per product for US-based investors and consultants and ranked 16th on the US list of the top viewed universes by average reviews per product. Among all clients (Global), the US Enhanced Small Cap Equity universe was at the top by month over month change but it still didn’t make the top viewed Global
- All of the top universes that remained from July’s list and into August’s list by Japan–based institutional investors and consultants were globally-focused. Besides the globally-focused new universes that made it onto August’s list, the other new universes include strategies focused on Japan (Japan All Cap Growth Equity and Japan All Cap Value Equity), Asia ex-Japan (Asia ex-Japan All Cap Core Equity), and the US (US Large Cap Value Equity). A new hedge fund universe (Event Driven – Activist) was also in the mix.
